Fundamentals of clinical anesthesia through presentations of clinical cases and practical activities.
Knowledge: Describe the ASA risk classification; describe assessment of difficult airway in
anesthesia; report induction of general anesthesia; compare neuraxial block techniques.
Skills: describe puncture needles for spinal and epidural anesthesia; perform maneuvers for airway
control and laryngoscopy and orotracheal intubation in a dummy.
Attitudes: Report on teamwork in anesthesia.
Assessment: Elaboration of study questions (test with 4 answer alternatives) with literature
reference; description and discussion of a clinical case with literature reference.
