Students can develop some competences on Education, Assessment and Intervention in
Cardiovascular function and dysfunction at the most important heart center in Brazil (Heart Institute
of Hospital das Clínicas of Faculdade de Medicina of University of São Paulo). They will have
theorical classes and practical trainings on:
1) Primary and Secondary Prevention of Cardiovascular Diseases
2) Physical examination of Cardiac Patients
3) Functional Capacity Examination of Cardiac Patients
4) Quality of Life Scales
5) Interventions in Cardiac Patients at Enfermary (including Pre and Post Heart
Transplantation)
6) Cardiac Rehabilitation
7) Basic Life Support
8) Education for schoolchildren, adolescents and adults of school communities
