Descrição: | Ementa: Aprimorar, por meio de revisão recente da bibliografia, os conhecimentos científicos modernos da Ortodontia para aplicá-los no desenvolvimento de pesquisas e no tratamento dos pacientes. Conteúdo Programático: 1. Os alunos deverão preparar, a partir da documentação ortodôntica obtida para cada paciente, o diagnóstico e plano de tratamento que serão apresentados ao grupo, onde serão discutidos: 1.1. As informações coletadas a partir do exame clínico. 1.2. Todos os fatores que envolvem a etiologia da maloclusão. 1.3. Os dados referentes à análise dos modelos de estudo, incluindo o “set-up”. 1.4. A interpretação das radiografias solicitadas e das análises cefalométricas. 1.5. Análise das fotografias da face. 1.6. Os problemas responsáveis pela maloclusão com suas respectivas soluções. 1.7. O diagnóstico e plano de tratamento com as opções viáveis da(s) mecânica(s) a ser(em) utilizada(s). 1.8. O prognóstico do tratamento. 2. Apresentação de artigos científicos, extraídos de periódicos especializados, previamente selecionados pelos professores, com o objetivo de: 2.1. Reforçar o embasamento científico dos alunos. 2.2.
