Reciclar os temas básicos de Ortodontia de tal modo que os alunos possam atualizar e nivelar seus conhecimentos e estarem aptos para as próximas etapas do curso.

Conteúdo Programático:

2.1. Métodos de estudo do crescimento ósseo.
2.2. Crescimento do crânio.
2.3. Crescimento da maxila.
2.4. Crescimento da mandíbula.
3. Desenvolvimento da dentição decídua, mista e permanente. Conceitos de “oclusão normal”.
4. Nomenclatura em Ortodontia.
5. Classificação das maloclusões.
6. Etiologia das maloclusões: fatores intrínsecos e extrínsecos.
7. Movimento biomecânico dos dentes e alterações tissulares.
8. Procedimentos ortodônticos preventivos: manutenção de espaço.
9. Recuperadores de espaço.
10. Hábitos bucais e terapêuticas vigentes.
11. Diastemas anteriores.
12. Mordidas cruzadas anteriores e posteriores.
13. Predição do crescimento facial: idade dental e esquelética.
