Objetivo da disciplina:
Capacitar o aluno para o diagnóstico e tratamento das Disfunções Temporomandibulares. Com ênfase no diagnóstico como primeiro passo para um correto tratamento, que poderá ser executado através de fisioterapia, farmacoterapia, placas oclusais ou encaminhamento para cirurgia.

Conteúdo programático da disciplina:

1.Anatomia, histologia e fisiologia da cabeça e pescoço; neuroanatomia e neurofisiologia.
2.Cinemática mandibular.
3.Modalidades de diagnóstico.
4.Diagnósticos diferenciais das dores orofaciais e DTM.
5.Imagenologia (Tomografia e Ressonância Magnética).
6.Tratamento com atendimento clínico.
6.1 Farmacologia.
6.2 Fisioterapia.
6.3 Placas Oclusais.
7.Teoria moderna da Dor e classificação de Dor Orofacial.
8.Diagnóstico Diferencial Extra e Intrarticular.
9.Fontes Extracraniais e Intracraniais de Dor Orofacial.
10.Inflamação Neurovascular. Classificação de dores de cabeça e farmacoterapias.
11.Dor Miofascial. Revisão Anatômica Muscular. Técnica de injeção do Ponto Gatilho.
12.Discussão de casos clínicos.
