Objectives:
This course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of sustainability practices across product design, operations, and supply chain management (OSCM). By the end of the course, students will be able to: • Analyze sustainability challenges in product design, operations, and supply chain management. • Apply sustainability frameworks and strategies to create eco-efficient and socially responsible products and supply chains. • Evaluate the trade-offs between environmental, social, and economic objectives in sustainable OSCM practices. • Conduct in-depth research in sustainable OSCM, culminating in a publishable research article.
Justificativa:
Rationale:
This course directly responds to a growing demand in both academic and industrial domains to understand, develop, and implement sustainable practices within OSCM. By offering a structured approach to topics such as green operations management, circular economy principles, sustainable sourcing, and low-carbon supply chain management, the course prepares students to contribute innovative, research-driven insights into these fields. This is pivotal for maintaining the program's relevance and leadership in sustainability research, a field experiencing significant growth and evolution.
