Objetivo:
a) GENERAL OBJECTIVE OF THE MODULE. To provide nursing students with an immersive experience in the Brazilian healthcare context, considering the resilience of health systems, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and global health emergencies. b) IMPORTANCE OF THIS LEARNING PROGRAM IN NURSING EDUCATION AT THIS STAGE OF THE COURSE. This program will contribute to students' understanding of the Brazilian healthcare system, enhancing their ability to correlate population health needs with social disparities at local, national, and global levels. It will foster a critical-thinking stance essential for addressing new local and global emergencies, enabling students to gain a broad and practical perspective on the challenges and opportunities in healthcare and preparing them for international healthcare scenarios. c) INTEGRATIVE SITUATIONS IN WHICH THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED IN THE PROGRAM WILL BE APPLIED. The course content is linked to subjects in the module (Health Needs of Social Groups as an Object of Nursing Work) and supports discussions on the Brazilian healthcare system and the nursing work process in subsequent modules (Primary Healthcare Nursing; Adult and Elderly Health Nursing in Clinical and Surgical Care; Ethics and Legislation in Nursing; Nursing Management). d) SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM & LOGIC OF CONTENTS. I. Regarding Teaching Action: - Contextualize content related to the resilience of health systems to address new local and global emergencies; - Encourage students' critical-reflective stance on population health needs, social disparities, healthcare networks, and emerging local and global diseases; II. Regarding Student Action: - Discuss the Brazilian healthcare system, population health needs, and social disparities, identifying similarities and differences with international systems; - Develop critical thinking on the resilience of health systems in addressing new local and global emergencies; - Understand the healthcare network and emerging local and global diseases; - Identify global responses to the Sustainable Development Goals and local and global health emergencies.

Critérios de aprovação: Instrumentos e Critérios de Avaliação Método de Avaliação Assessment strategies will include quizzes to evaluate theoretical content comprehension and peer assessment of group work. Critério de Avaliação Students will be continuously evaluated based on their participation in programmed activities and their performance in preparing and presenting the experience report. Norma de Recuperação No recovery process is offered.
